Shaji George Thomas is an energetic,enthusiastic and pragmatic young leader. Through out his political career spanning over 2 decades, he has been a loyal and staunch Congress Karyakartha and for being such he was given great and timely responsiblities by the Congress party.

As a young and bright student pursuing his education,he began his political career in the National Students Union of India (NSUI) in the year 1998 as a member of the organization and he continued till the year 2003.

And in the year 2009 he was elevated and given the responsiblity of Lok Sabha Election Co-ordinator by the then Working President and Present KPCC President,Shri DK Shivakumar and subsequently when NSUI elections were declared, he enrolled the highest membership in the State respectively.

In the year 2010 he was made the State Executive Committee Member of the Karnataka Pradesh Youth Congress Committee (KPYCC) by Shri Krishna Byre Gowda, then President of KPYCC

From the year 2011-13 he served as the elected State Secretary of KPYCC under the Presidency of Shri Rizwan Arshad and served as the district incharge of Kolar and also awarded best performer by the IYC team.

Along with this he did serve as the State Secretary of Indian National Trade Union Congress (INTUC) when Shri Rakesh Malli was the Chairman.

Presently he is serving as the State Co-Ordinator for Karnataka Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC), under the leadership and guidance of Hon'ble President, Shri DK Shivakumar.
